Microservices need to run on a platform that provides compute, network, and storage capabilities. This is your infrastructure platform. Common examples of infrastructure platforms include bare metal, VM-based platforms such as Amazon EC2 or Google Compute Engine, or container-based platforms such as Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
